As Internet Art Director and lead flash animator for LowesRacing.com and JimmieJohnson.com, one of the biggest challenges was keeping the site fresh and exciting for each new season. The fact that Jimmie Johnson was winning Nextel Cup after Nextel Cup, certainly didn’t hurt, and pushed me to up my game each year making sure the his site was worthy of a three time champion. This flash animated masthead was done for his site in 2007. One of it’s key features, allowed me to use ActionScript2 to swap out the ‘car’ symbol, so that each week the masthead would unveil that weeks paint scheme for Jimmies’ dedicated fans.
