zeemaps – logo design

The guys at zeemaps were starting up a new google maps mashable application and were looking for a logo. They wanted a web 2.0 feel to it, needed to convey the confidence and accuracy that google maps provides, and make it clear they were not the typical ‘local’ map mashable application. I think I was able to take those varied concepts and put them into one clean nice looking logo.

Unfortunately, as many other start ups find, starting up and sustaining are two distinctly different things. So sadly, this logo’s time in the public eye was but a flash, it was still a welcome challenge.
